TafunaDev ("we," "us," or "our") built the Nurtura – Pregnancy Tracker & Ovulation app as an Ad-Supported app. This SERVICE is provided by TafunaDev at no cost and is intended for use as is.

This page is used to inform visitors regarding our policies with the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information if anyone decided to use our Service.

1. Information Collection and Use

For a better experience while using our Service, we may require you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information, including but not limited to health data.

A. Health and Sensitive Data Nurtura is a cycle and pregnancy tracking app. Therefore, you may input sensitive data such as:

  • Dates of your menstrual cycle (LMP)

  • Physical symptoms and mood

  • Estimated Due Date (EDD)

  • Personal notes and medication/vitamin reminders

Local Storage: We highly respect your privacy. All the health and cycle data you input is stored locally on your device (offline) using a secure internal database. We do not upload, store, or sell your health data to our external servers.

B. Use of Nurtura AI Assistant (Chatbot) The Nurtura AI Assistant feature utilizes API services from Google (Gemini). When you use this chat feature:

  • The questions or prompts you type are sent to the AI processing server to generate a response.

  • We strongly advise you not to share Personally Identifiable Information (PII) such as your full name, address, or medical ID numbers within the AI chat box.

3. Advertising Policy (AdMob) & Health Data Targeting Prohibition

We use Google AdMob to display advertisements within the application.

  • AdMob may use your device's Advertising ID and cookies to serve relevant ads.

  • Important: In compliance with Google Play Developer Policies, we NEVER share your health, pregnancy, or menstrual cycle data with AdMob or any third-party advertisers for ad targeting purposes. The ads served are based on contextual targeting or your Google ad profile, which is entirely separate from the health data you input into the Nurtura app.

4. App Permissions

Our app requires certain permissions on your device to function optimally (targeting Android SDK 35):

  • Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS): Used solely to deliver local weekly pregnancy updates, cycle alerts, and vitamin reminders.

  • Exact Alarms (SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM): Used to ensure your scheduled vitamin or medication reminders trigger at the precise time you set.

5. Data Security

We value your trust in providing us your information. We use industry-standard encryption practices (such as EncryptedSharedPreferences) to protect your data within the device. However, remember that no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure and reliable, and we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

6. Data Deletion

Because your health data is stored locally on your device, you have full control over it. You can delete all your data at any time by:

  • Clearing the app's data through your Android phone's settings.

  • Uninstalling the Nurtura app from your device.

7. Children's Privacy

These Services do not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13 years of age. Given the nature of the application (Reproductive Health), users are advised to be at least of the legal age for medical consent in their jurisdiction.
